Talon
Stainless Steel Hooks are not chemically sharpened, why, because when we have
had a hot bite going, on a number of occasions the hookup rate suddenly dropped
off, without realizing it the hook's point had chipped off, we even had hooks
snap, then your fly is totally useless.
So
to over come the problems we decided that it would be easier to quickly sharpen
the hook with a small stone or file and have the hook bend slightly and still
be attached to the fish and still be able to use your fly for the next cast, the
next hook-up.
These
were some of the design parameters for the Talon Stainless Steel hooks.

do not use very expensive packaging that you throw away which costs more than
the Stainless Fly Hook, result, the cost to you is a lot less than some other
brands in their pretty packaging.
These
Hooks have a non chemically sharpened point, so you can resharpen quickly and
easily. However, they are still classified as extremely sharp.
Talon
Stainless Steel fly hooks will bend before they snap/break. The Hook image as
shown, is not to scale. And they are modelled on the 34007 type stainless hook,
the best ever saltwater hook.
