The
Talon Range of Hooks cover most Fly fishing requirements from Salmon single
low water types to Stainless Steel to 3 grades of Freshwater Hooks and down to
size 20's, economy, premium to their finest, the Peregrine range. And all with
plain packaging, that adds value to the product and not the pretty packet, which
you throw away. This
way, Talon gives you a better hook and not a better packet for your hard earned
dollar !
Have
you ever noticed, how some people rubbish, put down a hook that costs less than
their brand, I have wondered why. No, I know it is because they are not using
a Talon Fly Hook and maybe have paid too much for their hook ?

Wow
! I have just seen a wonderful example of putting down Talon Hooks from what I
thought was one of the most (not any more) respected Magazine's web sites in this
country Australia, which just goes to show you how low some people will reach
to try to help their advertisers and friends and rubbish a brand that is selling
well, which doesn't advertise in 'their 'magazine.
If
Talon Fly Hooks sales are hurting them, their sales, I wonder why ? I know why,
because they, Talon Fly Hooks represent the best value fly hooks on the market
today.
With the
use on non flashy advertising promising the World and beyond, and not offering
packaging that costs more than the fly hooks, the packaging you throw away, Talon
Fly Hooks can offer and give to you an huge discount in price but never in the
quality of the fly hook. Welcome to Talon Fly Hooks.
Talon
Stainless Steel Hooks are not chemically
sharpened, why, because the points are too hard, when we have had a hot bite going,
on a number of occasions the hookup rate suddenly dropped off, without realizing
it the hook's point had chipped off, we even had hooks snap. So to over come the
problems we decided that it would be easier to quickly sharpen the hook with a
small stone and have the hook bend slightly and still be attached to the fish.
These are just some of the design parameters that were used for the Talon Stainless
Steel Hooks range. Great value for the saltwater fly tier !
Talon
Fresh Water Hooks
3 Price levels and levels of performance at a price you may think is impossible,
but the price is real and totally fair.
Harrier
The economical fly hook range. Made in Japan for Talon with a chemically sharpened
needle point and hi-carbon content, these fly hooks also have splinter barbs.
Falcon
Also chemically sharpened with needle points and hi carbon content and with a
tiny splinter barb, made from a finer wire than the Harrier range and improved
tempering.
Peregrine
As the name suggests, the optimum in performance, finer wire than both the Harrier
and Falcon ranges, hi carbon content, micro splinter barbs and finely tuned temper
to produce a hook which removes most of todays problems, bending while in the
vice and straightening while being fished.
Talon
Low Water Salmon
These hooks were made to Talon's requirements in Japan, finished in traditional
Japanese black. They are designed to hold a 60 lb. leaping Salmon, however they
have proved themselves clever staying attached to Australia's Barramundi. Bass
patterns also improve their swimming action with the use of a Salmon hook. We
have tried a number of Trout flies using these hooks with wonderful success, to
date the best pattern is the old stand by, the Mrs.Simpson.
