  Talon Hog Deer Hair

.....This is Talon's Hog Deer Hair

Talon Hog Deer Hair

Talon's Hog Deer is one of natures truly magic fly tiers materials.

This could be because of the thinness of deer hairs, however it floats fantastically and each hair has 3 colours, from the bottom, off white/greyish/ginger then a darker colour to almost black, then a small white section and a nicely tapered black end.

All the hair is very tightly packed, far tighter than most deer hair and this could be the reason why Hog Deer swim so well, they have been know to swim some kilometer/miles in the open sea.

Colour, only natural, of course.
We believe that Aussiefly are the only group to be able to offer this rare deer hair for sale in the World.

This is a very much limited supply product.

The hair is excellent for nymph tails, emerger heads like in a Shaving Brush emerger and caddis/spinner tails. When used as a replacement to Elk hair the floating is higher and longer with a bonus of a fine tri coloured wing. Then, you will think, why did I use that Elk hair 'stuff' !

Per section AUD $7.70 and there is almost a lifetime of tying in a single section.

Just a thought from Uncle Barry,
"I try to stay away from black and white thinking/ this OR that.....I think it often comes from GURUS where the EGO unfortunately has gone slightly out of control"….. Sven Kalmar.
