Talon
Harrier Fly Hooks.
-------------------------------------------------------
Fly
of the Month
Available in Traditional Dry with the up turned eye, Wet/Dry
and Long shank/Streamer Fly Hook types.
The
economical fly hook range. Made in Japan for Talon with
a chemically sharpened needle point and hi-carbon content,
these fly hooks also have splinter barbs.
The
Harrier range of fly hooks are produced from a thicker wire
than both the Falcon and Peregrine ranges
Being
made from a heavier wire they are ideal for sub surface
flies, eg nymphs and streamers however the Traditional Dry
Fly hook, with it's upturned eye is included in the range.
The Traditional Dry Fly hook has a slight off set point
which increases the hook-up rate, the upturned eye allows
for a Turtle knot, to be used, that hides the knot from
the water's surface in the fly's body, that tricks clever
fish. This is the same style of hook as shown on the cover
of Flylife magazine edition # 55.
These
hooks could sell for a greater amount however because of
the volume sold and the no frills packaging the price has
been reduced to a price you can always afford.

that of far more expensive Fly Hooks, in other brands. Cheaper
