Tonight saw me trying to locate the Jewfish, as the tide ran in, where
Result, lost two flies to the bottom and not even a touch from anything, in fact I saw nothing.
BUT I did see something that wasn’t nice.
There they were two males and one female that looked like people from Korea.
Now this rather clever trio had as I watched, had a small gas burner and dish filled with stock cooking away and as the rather small Bream came in, a quick fillet job and straight into the stock and then 3 sets of chopsticks were set into action.
All trance of the unlucky little Bream vanished down their throats. All gone without any trance !
A rather clever way to beat being caught with under sized fish ! EXCEPT one old grumpy fly fisherman saw the clever act and this resulted in a phone call to the nice Fisheries people the next morning and ……… the location is too close to the Fisheries office not to be checked on a regular basis.
An Trout image from back in May in the mountains, the rod is a Talon USA 2w 7′ 6″ XF model Cairnton and the line a Talon W/F.
